The problem should be solved by removing the default .geo file,
untitled.geo (in my Mac, it is in my home directory), which probably
contains errors.<br>
You could also force gmsh to open another .geo file from the command
line, e.g. one of the examples of the tutorial.<br>

That's indeed a something that should be corrected. Gmsh should not
exit when the default file contains errors....<br>
