Could you send just the section of TOLOMEO LED you used to generate the
mesh?<br>
If in the imported file there are only surfaces, you should add a
surface loop to consider the volume and be able to mesh it.<br>

I have a problem when crossing from surface mesh to volume mesh in
Gmsh.

I'm using Gmsh 2.2.4 version. It seems that Gmsh is not able to
recognize volumes in the surface mesh attached (56.stl.tar.gz). Also i
attach the starting CAD file (TOLOMEO LED.stp.tar.gz) where i took a
section to create the surface mesh.
