[Gmsh] Problems splitting a spline

Hi all,

I'm new to Gmsh and I started creating a geometry.
Now I have a spline loop existing of several points and I
want to split it in two point with keeping the the shape 
of the original loop, but the two new lines differ from the
original loop. Is there a option to keep the shape?

Another question: Is there a possibility to manipulate the 
tangent of the start/end point of a spline?
