[Gmsh] Problems with GSL and problems with ModulusPhase plugin on 2.2.7-cvs

Hi everyone,

I downloaded the latest snapshot today:  2.3.0-cvs-20081222, and on ./configure got:

configure: error: Could not find GSL, aborting.

I got this last time, and downloaded and installed gsl from source; it seemed to install
ok and gmsh installed ok, too.  This time, though, it doesn't.  So I tried:

./configure --with-gsl-prefix=/usr/local/lib

after fiddling and inferring that /usr/local/lib was where gsl was installing to.  Again,
the same failure occurred.  Can anyone help?  This is quite frustrating.  :(


Oh, the reason I'm trying to install the nightly shot is that the Modulus-Phase plugin
wasn't working on the 2.2.7-cvs installation.  After using the plugin, the range still
extended to large negative numbers, then GMSH would hang.
