Hello Fabian - Thanks a lot for your changes. I've merged most of them
in my tree, with the following exceptions:

- I don't think we should be using designated initializers, since some
compilers don't support them yet.

- I kept everything in a single file. I think this approach is simpler
for most users. I might be wrong of course: let's see what other people 
on this list think.

- I don't think a full-blown configuration environment is necessary. I
prefer to leave that to the individual projects and distribution
maintainers. Again I might be wrong on this one.

The new version should be available in tomorrow's nightly cvs snapshot
(http://geuz.org/gl2ps/src/gl2ps-nightly.tgz).

Let me know if you see anything wrong with my merge. I might have
forgotten some things.
